How it works

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Not yet. DOPE first has to be listed in the Italian register of non-profits (RUNTS), and we are preparing the application. When it comes through, we will say so here.
Why more than one platform?
Because people who donate use the one they already know. The "Donate" button takes you to the main platform, you will find the others under each team, and this page adds everything up, including money that comes in by bank transfer, from companies and from grants, and what DOPE puts in itself.
Where does the money go?
Once a fundraiser has closed, we publish here what we bought, item by item, and how much it cost. Each team has its own report, with the income from all the platforms.
And if there is money left over?
It stays with the same team for the next season. What is left over from the fundraiser for all of DOPE goes to the teams, based on how far each one is from its target.
What are the stages?
Every team needs its full budget, but it needs the money in a set order. Each stage is something we buy as soon as we reach it: the most urgent first, then the rest.
